Charisma Carpenter
Charisma Carpenter was born July 23rd, 1970. She was Cordelia Chase in the supernatural drama series Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997-1999) and its spin-off series Angel (1999-2004). She was also in Charmed (2004) and Kendall Casablanca's role in Veronica Mars (2006). Rebecca Sewell was in The Lying Game (2012)-2013. Lacy was part of The Expendables film franchise (2010)-2012. Carpenter was born in Las Vegas, Nevada,[disputed - discuss] the daughter of Christine the bird sanctuary worker as well as Don Carpenter, a salesman. Carpenter is of Spanish, French, and German heritage (from her maternal grandfather). Carpenter attended the Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas; she was also a part of a group of dancers and singers that was a part of the Las Vegas Valley when she was nine years old.When Carpenter was 15, her family relocated to Rosario Beach, Baja California, Mexico and then to San Diego, California. She attended Bonita Vista High School and Chula Vista School of the Creative and Performing Arts. After graduation, Carpenter traveled throughout Europe. She returned to San Diego and worked in the video store, working as an aerobics instructor, property manager and as a cashier. She was a cheerleader with San Diego Chargers football in 1991. In 1992, she moved to Los Angeles.While swimming in San Diego in 1991, she and two male buddies were assaulted by Henry Hubbard Jr., the former San Diego police officer and serial rapist who tried to subdue them at gunpoint. The two of them, Henry Hubbard Jr. as well as her companions were shot in the struggle. They both survived. Hubbard was convicted and sentenced to a 56-year imprisonment for a series rapes, burglaries. Carpenter took Hubbard his police-issue flashlight on the beach. The flashlight was left at the scene. This flashlight became an important piece of evidence against Hubbard.
