Antonique Smith
The actress and singer Antonique Smith is a multi-talented performer whose credits run through Broadway to television and film and her soulful R&B recordings. Smith started her career in East Orange New Jersey, in 1983. The first time she appeared on stage was on the Sidney Lumet television series 100 Centre Street. Her biggest break occurred in 2005, when she starred as Mimi the Broadway smash Rent. She also starred in Julie Taymor's 2007 feature film Across the Universe. A few years later, Smith displayed both her vocal and acting skills when she took on the role of singer/rapper Faith Evans in the Biggie Smalls biopic Notorious.
