Kenney (born September 14th 1999) is an American actress. She has played
Deborah "Debbie" Gallagher in the show Shameless which she has played
from 2011 to 2021, and Harris Conner-Healy on the tenth season of the sitcom
for families Roseanne and its spin-off The Conners. Kenney was born on the 14th
of September 1999, in New York City. Her parents are Gillian Kenney, a criminal
defense lawyer as well as Kevin Kenney, a sports writer who previously wrote
for the New York Post and now is employed by Fox Sports. Kenney has appeared in
numerous the short films made for television and in films made for TV. When she
was just 9, she became the youngest finalist in Rutgers University's New Jersey
International Film Festival in 2009. Kenney played Debbie Gallagher, the on-air
daughter of William H. Macy in the comedic drama Shameless. Kenney got the role
when she was 10 years oldand was attending Park Middle School in Scotch Plains,
New Jersey. Kenney was confirmed in September 2017 to be a part of the 10th
season Roseanne. The series that was an adaptation and premiered on ABC on
March 27, 2018 was the first time that Kenney had appeared on the show. She
played Harris Conner Healy (the granddaughter of the sitcom's title character).
Kenney was seen alongside many of the original cast members like Roseanne Barr
and John Goodman as well as Laurie Metcalf and Sara Gilbert. Gilbert played
Darlene Conner-Healy who was her TV mother. The revival was cancelled by ABC after
just one episode.
