Dormer, born 11 February 1982, is an English actress from England. She has won
an Empire Award and been nominated for two Gemini Awards, two Critics Choice
Awards, as well as two Screen Actors Guild Awards. Dormer was born in Reading
(Berkshire) and made her television debut playing Anne Boleyn on the Showtime
series The Tudors. This role was praised by the public. Her stage debut was in
the show Sweet Nothings (2010). She also appeared in the Sweet Nothings (2010)
and played the Duchess of York in Madonna's movie W.E. (2011), Private Lorraine
in Captain America The First Avenger (2011). The Young Vic praised her
performance in After Miss Julie (2012). Dormer was praised for her performances
in the show After Miss Julie (2012) at the Young Vic. She has also portrayed
Irene Adler/Moriarty for the CBS series Elementary (2013-15), Sara Price Jess
Price in The Forest (2016) and voiced Onica in the TV series The Dark Crystal:
Age of Resistance (2019). She was praised for her character in Penny Dreadful
City of Angels (2020). Dormer was born in Reading (Berkshire), England on the
11th February 1982. She is the daughter of Gary Dormer, Claire Richards and
Samantha Dormer.
