Bonnie Wright
Bonnie Francesca Wright (born 17 February 1991) is an English actress, model director, and activist. Her most well-known character is that of Ginny Weasley which is the Harry Potter film series's main character. Born in London, Wright portrayed the role for 10 years until she was cast in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II (2011). Wright has appeared in numerous independent films like Before I Sleep (2013) and The Sea (2013). The films were met with mixed reviews. She was the stage's first lead in Peter Ustinov's The Moment of Truth at the Southwark Playhouse in 2013.Wright graduated from University of the Arts London in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in filmmaking. Following her graduation from the University of the Arts in London in 2012, she began creating short films through the production company BonBonLumiere. Her first film she directed was called the coming-of-age thriller Separate We Come and Separate We Go (2012). It was released at Cannes Film Festival to great public acclaim. Wright also directed Know Thyself (2016), which starred Christian Coulson, as well as Sextant (2016). Both featured landscape and emotion. Wright's trilogy Phone Calls premiered at Tribeca Film Festival 2017. The film was released in Medusa's Ankles (2018) with Kerry Fox and Jason Isaacs, that is based on A. S. Byatt's The Matisse Stories. She has directed music videos for Scarlett Johansson and Pete Yorn. Wright is an ambassador for Greenpeace and Lumos, and has been recognized for her environmental activism.
